Board doesn't look very stiff to me but anything stiffer than last years is an improvement.

40 to 60 mm of anodizing ? That's thicker than the mast itself which is probably around 16mm thick. You probably meant microns. That's 0.0015748 of an inch for you Brits :)

Why would they have wing tips up on the front wing??? I think it would breach in hard turns...

shinn jackson was not great (kind as I can be)
4 of us at the same spot agree it was poor,
3 of us had bought one, all got rid within a month.
this looks like a repainted one.
heavy, springboard quality, unstable, try before you buy,
I would not recommend this to a friend.
sorry
mild rant over.

Since you started :) rode a Shinn foil once , don't remember the model, red board and hydrofoil with yellow wings, worst foil ever (my 2005 Carafino was better) closely followed by the Nobil foil. Board ,wings everything was too soft.

Don't know about the hydrofoil but looks like with this new board they are trying to improve the stiffness.

FOIL you stated this below ,think your 'rant' above may be a little harsh?
"I have used the shinn P foil, your shop is right that you will outgrow it, it is very slow, but the big wing offers great lift, is tough as rock and about as heavy, but that's just right for learning, it comes with a short mast, again just what you need,
make no mistake, this is just the type of board you need when starting off, get your shop to agree to part x it when your ready, if you can get out say twice a week then it will last you maybe 6 months before your ready to use more advanced gear, and because its such a nice looking package all in its own very neat carry bag its very easy to understand why it will be easy to pass on to the next newbie, I bet you will be able to sell it to someone on your beach its such a well known bit of kit.
there is cheaper kit out there but not easier to use."

Think the above is a very accurate description...."just right for learning"

Agree with Foil. The Jacksons are big lumps. If you are switched on buy a Moses onda 633 with a slingshot mast adapter and use flight school mast system and you have something good to grow into. Easy to learn on and no money lost buying twice 👍

Onda 633 is a wing ,not a board ???
Onda is great but not as durable as a P foil....also hard to buy a second hand moses

Richy -c , when you say "Agree with Foil" ,I cannot see where he said "big lumps"...

He ACTUALLY SAID "make no mistake, this is just the type of board you need when starting off"...... he ALSO SAID "just right for learning"
