Hi,
I'm about to upgrade my foilboard (a custom SB with foil mount 150x45cm).
I was looking for a freeride foil board 125-140 cm long but happen to have a crazy deal on a crazyfly f-lite 115x44 board.
Is it OK for intermediate riders or maybe too short and will be longer to progress at my level? I can dial a few flying jybes but nothing more at this level. I also like to jump and this board looks bulletproof.
What worries me is the small rocker for touchdowns and not sure if the board size will effect the top of my speed range on the moses 550/330.
Any advice on this board?

Hi there. I just started riding that board, and have the crazy fly 130 as well.
Last week I rode the chill 130x44 and then a few days later started riding the flite 115x44. I love them both and find them very easy to ride!
I wish I would have got the 99x44 though!
Easy to ride, love the boards!
I'd sell/trade either of the above in perfect brand new condition for the 99 flite.
Great boards, easy to ride!

Hi
I've had the 115 for a while now.
I ride it strapless with a gofoil kai.
Its an awesome board light and stiff.
Its built strong too.
For me no need to go smaller in size.
Used to ride a moses T60 but that's too fragile and has too much floatation (for me)
Hope this helps.

Tried the 115 cm one last week and i loved it. Its light and thin yet still floated my alloy foil (just). The nose of the board had enough rocker for me. The only thing i did not like was that there is no option to mount the front strap in the center. The board is not too wide and i either have to put my front foot anklesnapdeep into the strap or my heel hangs off the board.

It is not too short for your level.

Thanks Slowboat, I wanted to write that and then got too excited.
I just saw that there are good deals for the 2018 Version, does anybody know what the difference is to this years model?

Yes, from personal experience and watching friends, if one is foiling at a level where they are able to start doing a few foiling foot switches, that is the perfect time to get a smaller board. And really, the smaller and lighter the better. Once you start riding a small board, you will wonder why most foil boards out there are so big. If you don't go small enough, you will regret it.

Thanks guys awesome inputs!
I had a chance to try the Chill (130x446 last Weekend in marginal conditions (sub 10kn) for cca. 30 mins (wind died..)
I fell in love with the thing...
What about LW performance of the 115 f-lite? We often get sub 10 kn conditions and if the Chill is a lot better for that then I will get it, otherwise the f-lite is a no brainer for me...

LW performance depends on your wing size. With larger surf wings, you should be able to waterstart right to foil and the board shouldn’t be a factor. I guess if kite power is very marginal and you can just barely start after swinging your kite all over the place, maybe more board volume might help but I really do not think it makes a real world difference. Just go small.

Hi has anyone tried the crazy fly allround board ?
I am in between the shox and the allround. I ride in choppy water and I don’t like spray in the face....
