suggested kite size + wind range

Somehow I ended up with a LF Thruster and Impulse set up, with Rocket board.
Total newbie.
Local conditions usually 15-25 knots. I already have a 10, 12, and 15m kite.

What size kite(s) do you recommend for 15-25 knots?
(Would like to learn on Impulse as I think it will be slower, which appeals to me to slow things down and take break from twin tip)

If you are still 82kg dry, I would say your 10m will be a one kite quiver in that range.

I weigh 80kg. In 25 knots I fly a 5m, unless I want to rip up/downwind race-style, in which case I fly a 7. In 15 I might fly a 10, or I might fly a 7. I mainly use my 10 (Soul) for 9-12 knots.

Unless your style is freerace, a 10 is pretty much overpowered throughout the 15-25 knot range.

I have 80kg and fly wavekites in 8m for 15 to 20kn and 5m from 20kn on. I would guess an 8m or even 7m could be a good size after your 10m.

When you are learning, use the same kite you would use on a Surfboard, or 1 size down from TT.

You need to get a 7 and a 5 m2 kite to be able to foil in 15 to 25 knots of wind, when you have learned, and these 2 kites can cover 15 to 25 knots just fine.
Well, a 5 m2 will be too big in 25 but possible to survive as long as you dont want to ride waves.

So your current kites are all too big. Assuming you are average weight since you dont write.

But as Tom said, use a bigger kite when learning initially, so your 10 will be fine in 15 knots for starters.
When you CAN foil quite steady, you need the smaller kites instantly in that much wind.
And if you want to play around even in wind waves, only small kites will work

On the other hand, if you want to jump, and ride fast (eventhough not really possible with the Impulse), you can use the 10 m2 in the lower half of your windrange.
