frankly,
i believe moses going alu is unnecessary...
the are the largest hydrofoil brand already...why create confusion with the brand?

There is customer demand otherwise they would not be doing it? Good for schools who provide hydrofoil lessons? People can start with it/stick with it or upgrade to carbon. To have choice and options is good from a customer perspective.
"1 product=no choice ,2 product = options,3 products =dilemma "

just stating an an opinion (which these forums are for)
but moses should take a page out of the rolex/tutor relationship.
Hans Wilsdorf said the following quote on March 6th, 1946:
”For some years now I have been considering the idea of making a watch that our agents could sell at a more modest price than our Rolex watches, and yet one that would attain the standards of dependability for which Rolex are famous. I decided to form a separate company, with the object of making and marketing this new watch. It is called the Tudor Watch Company.”
right now moses already dominates the market.
..and their name is synonymous is quality.
i personally think they should stick with what made them "them" (high quality/well made carbon fiber hydrofoils)
maybe make a new company to chase potential higher volumes with Aluminum
again, jmo..

My questions are related to what they are doing re alu (the questions of should /shouldn't they is a different topic)
Just want to know what is happening (not really concerned with why)

Do you want an alu mast since you ask?
Or was it a comment that you don't like that?

I am considering the alu mast option depending on when it will be available ,cost and compatibility (my understanding is it will not have current fuse compatibility -but that is one of the reasons I ask if someone has more info)
Also alu mast length, maybe the option to learn on shorter (less expensive mast) then 'graduate' to a longer 91 moses carbon.
I know it is already possible to get slingshot adapter, alu masts and base plates to fit the existing moses fuse but maybe easier to get everything in a moses 'package?

The thing is you can get 99% of the benefit of riding a moses at half the price. I just got a 683/483 and adapter and put on my 90cm (and 60cm if i want) SS mast and it rides almost exactly the same as with the moses mast.

I don't think you can compare Moses with Rolex. Moses provides good quality cheapest carbon foils on the market and that's what makes them attractive (like Tutor) but the market is dominated by alu foils not Moses.
