Hi,
I wanted to upgrade from North speedster combo to Duotone carve foil and found out that the mast profile on the new foil is way bigger (not thicker) and therefore much heavier than the old one.
What are the benefits and incovenients?
I learnt on the old one and liked it very much, but wanted to upgrade to a bigger wing and more surffeeling.

A mast profile question without the mast profile ?
You just need to post a pict of the (airfoil) section...

Maybe I should have said "mast width"?

I think this has come up before...
Should be more rigid (shouldn't be so much heavier), and more efficient through the water

IIRC it was related to the hull speed thingy:

I forget, but I remember it being a good thing so I was happy when my next foil had a wider mast and I forgot everything
