My system features a QR which kills the kite better than for example this classic one:
However it is not dedicated for beginners.
I am testing a similar system for them but with a double flag out (double cleat). Both power lines might be released independently.
There are two symmetrical QR balls connected by one short leash.
I won't be popular stating that I have had dozens of accidents and problems due to an accidental release of QR and not a single time I really needed it in last dozen years of kiting.
In emergency I use better ways than QR to come back to safety zone.
Read a summary from one of popular kite schools yesterday that only 3% of beginners practically know how and when to use a QR.
hard to deny that Mr.Wannabee heard that a QR must be used in a case if SOMETHING happens. But he has rather no clue what the SOMETHING means.
Update from IKA for coming competitions: a flag out IS NOT required anymore for RAM kites.
