Looks great! It's so simple and nice that I might try to build something similar.

Is it a diy bar? Is that a bicycle handlebar? What about the endings? Any chance you would disclose the steps taken?

Complex to manufacture as hell (central hole) and no flag-out safety so totally irresponsible design. The depower pic is focused on concrete, is depower ball spliced inside main depower line or how does it work?

Here is simple bar with better design with BRM-type double safety to flag-out on front line. Self-3d printed parts. This is not my video but the video guy made two bars for me to run with Peak4 and Sonic3.

Is this bar available for purchase? Is there a website?

Unfortunately those bars not available for purchase as it is not a business. Also no web page.

I try to describe the solution for you if you want to think and implement it. The quick release is two blocks, larger and smaller. Smaller goes fully inside larger. Both blocks have holes for depower rope and another hole for pin. So you arm it by making depower rope around some metal ring preferrably with a swiwel. Then push pins into pin hole. The upper block above bar just keeps depower ropes together and allows kite line to slide for full flag-out. Make depower rope as long/short as you think you need. Normal depower travel with trim might be 60-80cm. So this bar has only sheeting depower. Then make steering leader lines according to depower rope and wanted trim, like if you want to able to backstall with bar a foil kite etc.

So on video he inserts safety pins into holes around swivel system on his rope bar, then he releases the outer larger block put pushing aka releasing pin. Then the next pin for full release by pushing smaller block.

Bar is CF, put a nylon cylinder inside and drill a V-shaped hole. Ends are caps with open V to hold the lines.

What kind of tape did you put on the ring attached to the depower rope that connects to the harness

The bar: https://www.groovekiteboards.it/system-bar-2/
All parts: bar 55cm; stainless ring 25m; plastic ball 14mm; 1,5m of dyneema 3mm; polyamid hose 5mm; high load low friction ring/eye 16mm.
It is easy to make and adjust later. Just one piece of line.

Self-vulcanizing tape. It works well but needs to be changed from time to time. Easy.

I've always undelined that these designs are for experts only.

No splicing for a ball. The ball is attached to the end of the line and secured by a double knot.

That is true. My text was more aimed to Sceotend although I did not quote him. Sceotend based on join date seems to be new and thinks of building one. If he starts fully releasing his kites at Kallvik (Helsinki?) getting ban on beaches... He'll get a lot of love..

I highlighted the pic area about my splicing question. So you can pull the depower ball, what makes the new depower setting to "stick" or is it more like clam-cleatness race bar that with other hand you keep rope end. Between red ellipses it is hard to say from the picture if lines run inside each other, but right side ellipse lines joins like they would on splicing.

This is old clam-cleatness idea. Again - rather for experts only. Self-explaining pictures:

I am happy with this solution as I barely touch a trimmer during a season.
