Just got the onda and 91 mast. What is the best method for sanding edges and reducing the sharpness and injury potential. Am reluctant to start sanding shiny new kit ,though common sense tell me it is better than getting cut.

Sand them. 400 grit perpendicular to make a flat trailing edge. One buddy even used a coin as an outline and completely rounded the wing tips. Told me wing feels the same, just safer.
Another friend did the same to his 590.
I sanded my 633 and stab trailing edge and sanded the wingtips to be a little rounder. My mast is the 2017 Slingshot which has a square trailing edge from the factory
Of my 6 friends on the 633, all of us sanded the knife edge off. Great wing. I do wish the wingtips were slightly folded over, though.

But be carefull with your sanding, might end up with your foil whistling quite badly, specially if you just sand perpendicular as stated on the delta videos (did it on my Levitaz Bionic, and regret it).

And once you've made this sanding error is there any corrections you can make to re-do this? I sanded all the trailing edges on my 633/91/483 Moses Onda and have not been out to check for whistling. Worried.
This sanding was inspired by this weeks injury to a friend in Hood River. Trip to ER room.

I have a racing sailboat that to remain legal for racing is not allowed to be modified except in very specific ways.
One of the modifications that is allowed, is that if the trailing edge of the keel makes noise (more of a hum than a whistle on the bigger, slower sailboat compared to a foil), they allow you to sand the trailing edge at a 45 degree angle. I assume this fix would be worth trying on a kite foil as well to fix this problem - instead of sanding flat, sand at an angle.

So what exactly Rick was doing and what went wrong?
And tell him and Casey hi for me

Here's what my goal shape was to the trailing edges. The flat portion is about 1/32"

I will see Rick at KB4C this weekend at the Event Site. He claims he'll be back on the water by Saturday, but seems risky with the river poop. What he's saying is that during a crash he stabbed his foot hard down onto a surface he thought was the board, but ended up being most likely the mast trailing edge. He's currently riding a Kanaha Shapes 22" extreme tiny pocket board.

Hmm...I hope he gets to ride KB4C safe.
I love kicker on my board so I know where to place the back foot without looking
