Me and two friends cut themselfes with the moses wings as well. Both friends lost almost a finger and coulndt kite for six weeks. When I fell on the foil I got a 15 cm cut on my back although I was wearing a double lined wetsuit. The wing was cutting through my wetsuit. I had a lot of luck that this cut in my skin was not deep at all because my wetsuit protected me.
Because Im not getting paid for being the fastest foilboarder on the water I prefer to have foil wings that are less sharp and less pointy. I can accept now that my speed potential is reduced a little and that my wings can cause some noise. A nice side effect is that I have less collissions with fish and that I have to spent less time for repairing my wings and for this reason more time on the water. .:-) Sanding Carbon wings is not in any case possible and for this reason I prefer now wings that are designed as well under safety concerns and durability.
