There is a huge difference between kites in how they do foiling in high wind. I have an old 6m best Cabo that I can comfortably foil with in 30+ knots. It is getting pretty ragged, and I replaced it with a 6m SST which I can barely hold down at 25 or so. Both are surf-style 3-strut kites, the same size, and same general shape, same low end, but totally different top-end. Then I got a 3m peak4, which is great and has a huge useable range, though sometimes less convenient than inflatables.
