If I have understood right, the bar does not float?
It is not uncommon when foiling in the marginal winds to do self rescue and you have to release the bar for a while and get only flag line around the bar first. It's bad if the bar goes underwater and becomes an anchor.
Maybe we see from the video which Rainer will show us later how to do self rescue after QR

Good job Rainer. Your bar is a master piece.

I'm in bar production mode too for personal use. Experimenting with two lines in the pu tube too and the BRM bar style of two power lines.

Really hard to source the multi chamber PU tube. I found a place in Japan but they won't sell it to me in short lengths.

Maybe I missed your response but there is a question/comment by several people: US customers. When will you be selling in North America?
We have just received the info that we can sell and ship tu the US and Kanada too. :D

Your picture with all parts on the floor looks pretty much the same like my table did last autumn. :thumb:
Good ideas do not necessarily have to be developed in the laboratories. Sometimes it´s the parents garage...

the bar does look interesting.

..can i assume the bar floats since it's carbon?

Because the carbon piece through the bar is tapered, maybe you could mould the larger side so that it matches the outside of the bar, and can be bonded onto the outside of the bar?

Will you be selling component parts as well as complete bars with lines?

Unfortunately the Cabrinha tube is too short, I'm doing trimless designs with 75cm of bar throw. I actually have two lengths lying around too from old bars...

@Rainer - I'm using 3mm sk99 for centre rope so 5mm ID / 7mm ED pu tube is ok with 1.3mm flagg line but no long term testing yet.

Since I splice my own rope, I think I will just run the centre rope without pu tube and replace it every 3months or so at $2 or 3. But I do like the cleanliness of pu tube...

I'd rather take a Teflon tubing, 6/4mm as Rainer mentioned above.

Uncoated main line (or both) to reduce the friction between the lines.
And the bar should slide much better on PTFE than on PU tubing.
At 3$/m you just need to find others interested and share a 50m roll.
