between this...and the Takuma Efoil.
....i'm just happy you can get same(or better) quality as Lift.. for half the price now.

i'm thinking once someone can produce decent quality for around $3000 USD...
...with a removable/replacable battery
...modular/replaceable wings...
..and not as heavy as a boat.

we'll have a winner

The video relies on cinematography and a business suit walk away while the product just goes in a straight line at relatively low speed. Wholly less impressive than the board size, power and agility of the Lift.

maybe... but you are making judgements from the same cinematography you just criticized

fwiw, i've looked into building my own "top of the line" e-foil...you CAN sell a carbon foil/board for $3000 and make a profit.

and also the lift is 12,000+ USD......which is double the price for the horue version
the difference is you are paying for marketing and distributors.

there is nothing novel about a lift e-foil.

this is from their own websites..
https://liftfoils.com/efoil/
Our battery

Offers an average 60-minute ride time, depending on rider weight and speed. Closer to 90 minutes of riding is common.
Takes less than 2 hours to fully charge.
Can be easily interchanged and recharged.

Is rugged, waterproof, and fully submersible.
Comes equipped with the most sophisticated internal components and automotive grade manufacturing to keep riders safe.
Weighs 29 lbs.
https://www.horue.fr/efoil-en/e-foil-waviator
Its 1500Wh battery allows 60min of autonomy for a distance of about 22km. Charging is done on domestic plug in 3-5h.

Automn 60min - 22km

Charging time 3-5h

Total weight ready to fly measured and verified: 37kg

Carbon foil with removable fuselage

Bamboo / carbon board with waterproof access hatch

Brushless motor

Floating wireless remote control

Circuit breaker

2 years legal warranty

i understand folks want to buy that sizzle...and not the steak.
but...there is nothing novel about a lift e-foil....besides it being 1st to market.
especially considering it is now 2x the price of competitors
(i am defining competitors as efoil using similar/same battery/motor...and lightweight carbon to save weight)

also, concerning board size...you chose the board size you want (with a lift)
and the purpose of a removable wings (you determine your agility/speed/etc).....remember it is a foil.

Call it a waviator and maybe show it catch one. If it were capable of anything really impressive, Phillip would have shown it. So far I find them all lack lustre performance wise. Hard sell to kite foilers accustomed to light little set ups with small kites in fun swell. But we are not the market for these things. More for the business men than surfers!

no disagreement concerning performance.

my interest was for those zero wind days. (light wind i'd prefer powering the foil...with the wind)

I would love to get a "mobile unit" that we could plug on our existing hydrofoils. Hence cheaper for those having already a hydrofoil, even if our board would be a bit too small), and then you get wind/no wind option with the same hydrofoil (and an option for very small pattery pack, for 3-5 minutes ride, just to come back to shore if wind drops off during a marginal wind session)

We dont really have zero wind days...

A few, but then you can FIND wind in the vicinity (when only 5-6 knots is needed), somewhere, usually.

And if we have one close to zero wind day, it is nice to get something else done, than foiling

29 pounds (13 kg) vs 37 kg! Can that difference be right?
