Dont listen to much foillovers ...please...all' strutless or One strut Will relaunch in 8kts..even if One hour float ...foil usually not if some water inside and no self rescue possible most of the time..
Go for any light strut kite 12/14m no problem and stay safe

I use an Airush Ultra 12m for this kind of wind flawless kite for foiling. Last year I was using mostly the 15M but I lost a lot of weight so now the 12M is plenty big. I can make a 9M work starting around 10knots. I am 80kg now!

None of the LEIs will deep water relaunch in 8kts..
This is obviously not true. Most one strut kites will easily relaunch in 8kn in deep water with the right technique.

Yes absolutely that's definitively the case for the Airush Ultra, Liquid Force Solo I have not tested the others but I'm sure they do what's the point of making an ultralight kite that can't relaunch!

10 knots and under wind speeds become very dependent on observation. 8 knots at the water level or 8 knots at the airport? With or against the current? I am a skeptic about LEI relaunch in those winds but a big fan of Boxer kites. Enough winds and Boxer relaunch is top notch. I don’t see anybody riding LEI at all here when our sensors report 10 knots.

If only I had paid attention to this statement in March when I dug out my CC and plunged into the Soul/Hyperlink hype. OK, I'm sure there's millions who love'em, but after 3 years of light wind sub-10knts and lower foiling with my Clouds.... the Soul just didn't happen for me. I tried the 12m Soul which got me up and riding about like my 10.4 Cloud D, but then was a troubling overpowered finicky beast. And I've had plenty of easy swims with the Cloud, with several boat rescues with a 40 pound soaked mattress pad Soul :(
Will try again this winter in warmer waters and steady tropical winds.
