Hi Everyone,

I did not want to keep posting stuff on the Duotone thread, so I started this one for the Ozone WASP Wing stuff.

Can you post some of your objective commentary video on these things?

Thanks Gunnar,

for allready showing a nice technique to go through the shore brake and much other situations. As you have the hand leash not attached on your hand I guess you had it attached to the strut?

Anything else worth to comment, how to do or to care about doing so? Maybe a bit dangerous to hit the leading edge with the stabi, when overturning in a wave? .... or maybe reason Nr. 104 to not use a stabi at all

For paddling out I have it attached to the same foot as the board leash. That leaves my hands free to paddle. Afterwards I switch it to my hand when I am ready to ride.

How do you like that windsurf uphaul style wing leash? I’m using a coiled bodyboard leash. Is that uphaul style leash less annoying?

I like that is is lighter than the Coil leashes, and also that it does not tangle up as easily. Also it is much easier to pull the wing back to you after a crash. The coil leashes tend to slip in my hands.

It seems like these things basically don't work unless it's nuking, at which point why wouldn't you want to be out on a kite so you can boost? Beyond having a way to surf towards the beach perfectly flagged out, are these really that versatile or sort of a one-trick pony?

That fallacy was started by people using 3.5m Duotone wings and small foils. With bigger wings and the 4m Wasp I have been able to get well under the 20knot limit. Today I was out on my Indiana 115 Foil when others where out on 12m kites. I was riding the little bumps forming out between the islands. So much fun.

Would I prefer boosting in those conditions? Hell no. I only go boosting on a TT when it over 30knots.

Another thing is that you can go out in places where you would never launch a kite, case in point I launched in Corralejo Harbor where you are not allowed to start with a kite. I started there as there was no wind at Flag.
