I did drop my 15 chrono yesterday in silly light air, (the tip hit the water on a lazy loop where the large caving arc of the 790 wing clashed with the kites large carving arc, a case of too late to grab a leader, my fault),
So I'm assuming that the light-wind technique to prevent this is presumably to initiate the kite down-loop before the gybe, then carve around as sharply as possible to avoid going downwind and slack lines? Or even better still do an upwind tack? (both of these things I need to master!!)

Have you got hold of your 13 chrono yet? My last chrono the 15mtr took near 5 weeks.
and my 790 wing took the same time, I understand the wait for the kite as it had to be made, but the wing wait was painful.
Steve has ordered the moses 720 wing and he has been told 4-5 weeks, ouch! cant wait for a go on that in a few weeks.

First off I would not use your new chrono with the new 790 wing until you get to know your new chrono first with your favourite wing,
get dialed into it speed and lift feel at ease with it,then once dialed in go out on it with the 790 wing in super light wind, and prepare for a shock, in a good way :thumb:

carving is easy, just different, smoother more stable, shockingly stable, your 13 chrono is perfectly matched up to quite stiff winds when the Ttip guys are hitting the water, then the wing needs swapping for the 633 or 683 if flat water.

my new 15mtr Chrono I am thinking of selling now :o due to my experiences on the 790 wing, so your choice of buying the 13 was spot on.

The kite hasn't arrived yet. But I'm already pleased that I went for the 13m! and yes I plan to use the 633 wing. It sounds like the 790 offers a very little more low-end but still lots of fun and learning to be had for me on the 633 at the moment!
