10m WOW.

It’s not the best lightwind kite, but I like the way it turns and the power delivery. It can get me going in 8kn steady, and I don’t really care to go any lower than that. I don’t really enjoy flying big, slow kites at this point in my foiling journey.

If I were looking for a little bit lower low end, and I wanted to stay with an LEI, I would get a 12m single strut (Ultra, Solo, Boxer), a strutless (13.4 Cloud), or look into an OR aluula kite.

At 155 pounds, on a Moses 633, my largest kite is the Cloud E 10.4. This gets me foiling in about 8mph winds. I purchased a Soul 12m this past Spring in part because of the 70+ page Soul thread here on Kiteforum. But it's just not working out for me. So many years with instant Cloud de-power and ease of control so now if I fly a Flysurfer it's just too scary. Also, we've got mostly tiny launches covered in barnacles here in Washington State where I can self-launch & land with ease on a Cloud. Not so with a foil kite.

i'm a bit bipolar..

i range from 3m peak4 to a 15m sonic race

oddly i prefer being underpowered on smaller kites (generally using to play in waves)..and a bit overpowered on the sonics (used for flat water and boosting)

Flyboy, I do have a 11m kite but I think it weights too much for foiling. Maybe the wow is a better option than the NV because it’s a wave kite that drifts much better. I know that the solo is great for foiling, but I’m not sure if i will like a just one strut kite and I already had a quiver of NVs and WOWs and I loved them. I think that the cabo is similar to the wow. My biggest issue is that I’m not sure what’s the best size for me and I’m trying to get some opinions before buying a kite for foiling.
Thanks for the help man
Read what Peter Frank wrote.

When you're starting foiling you will NOT be able to go out in really light winds. You should be aiming for a 12 knot minimum. For that your 11m will be fine. A lighter kite is preferable, but not essential when you are foiling in 12 - 18 knots. Once you are reasonably competent at foiling you will know if you want to get into lighter wind foiling & you can choose a dedicated light wind kite. At that point something like a Solo would be a better choice than a WOW, because if you're into foiling you won't be interested in going out on anything other than the foil in sub 15 knots s you won't have much use for a 12 - 14 m WOW. Foiling below 10 knots a 13m Solo, or similar, will do the job ... but again you won't be capable of foiling in winds that light until you have more experience.

What size do you guys think I should add to my quiver? I currently have 11m and 13m hifix and I don’t think that they will perform really on 10knots for example. I weight 90 kg. Will a 12m nv or 9m nv get me going on the light days? I will get a foil with a big front wing so that it is easier to learn.
I would chose a 10m Flite or Roam the new ones with Aluula, there is nothing wrong with learning in 10 knots, 8knots is pushing it but with the right equipment ( a kite that flys in 8 knots) 10knots is totally fun and lots to learn in.
