I am looking for a surf-like hydrofoil.
I use today an allrounder nobile zen with ca 800sqcm, but I want to try something more playful and with more lift.
With the nobile I can lift with kite 13sqm from 12-13 knots with my 85kgs
I like surf feelling but I go mostly freeride, chop and I would play in small waves and carving in lakes
I have found sup hydrofoil with surfaces
1340sqcm
1040sqcm
I just read many topics here where suggest bigger is better. and some videos on youtube where suggest naish surf L with 1250sqcm.
I would use it from marginal winds till 18knots in lakes mostly start carbing and spmetimes on small waves ar rhe seaside.
Any suggestion?

You are in Europe?
Take a look at gong Sup/surf wing size M.
Enough positive reviews/statements available on kiteforum and french and italian fora to justify the 400€. Build quality is certainly okay. My 1/2 year halted progression has been put in motion again using this foil..
If you want a faster wing for this foil this would also be available (the pro version or the allvator wing).

I had the same issue, for my Nobile Allround wing I need winds so strong I could also TT. Gong surf foil Allvator M did the job perfectly, I can now foil at 4 knots (strapless of course, the straps would not be well placed). Please note: somehow the holes in the Gong base plate are not absolutely perfectly located, you have to file / trim them a bit.

The surf wings for kite foiling are a lot of fun. You can kite at real slow speeds and get that surfy feel. I’m around 70 kg and use the Neilpryde large foil which is around 1600. I have tries the small wing NP as well but at the moment prefer the L wing. My full on race and free ride foils have been getting a little bit dusty as all I want to do of late is ride the surf foil.

Maybe a little bit off topic, but I wanted to use the occasion.
- Would the SUP foils mentioned in this thread work for wing-foil? I love my Moses 633 for Kite foiling, but I fear it will be too small for Wing and SUP foil, is that right?
- Can I asume that SUP foils are the right size for Wing foil?
Thank you

Yes the large wings (or SUP wings) are the preferred choice for Wing foiling. Currently I would say most riders are using somewhere between 1600 to 2400 foil sizes on their wing foil. Note these large wings can be used for all foiling disciplines, ie wind, wing, wake, kite, surf... For sure check out the "wing" foil threads for more information.

At 75kg my Gofoil Iwa at 1500cm works ok. It’s the biggest foil Gofoil recommend to use with a kite. It’s quite fun riding slowly and looking at the view.
My J Shapes Cruzer, 1050cm is much more fun. I wouldn’t buy a bigger wing unless you’re planning on surfing it without a kite.
The Cruzer can go almost as slow as the Gofoil, and is about 3 knots faster.
