I got on of the early Groove Skates (I think) in the US back in April or May of 2018. Love the board and it is so fun to ride. I'm on Moses 633/483/101 . I ride strapless only, so I have never jumped with the board (in fact it has never had straps screwed into it.)
Recently over the last 10 sessions or so, I have a slight "creaking" sound under my back foot as I am pumping / working the board. Closest analogy I can make is old wooden floorboards creaking when you step on them. At first I thought one of the base plate screws was loose in the track but I checked and they are all tightened down. I'm a bigger guy (100kg) but I'm not jumping at all. I really don't feel any heel dent or pressure dings when I press hard with my thumbs there. It almost sounds like maybe a stringer is creaking against the foam inside the board as the board flexes slightly?
Anyone else who is a long term Groove Skate rider notice anything similar? Any other hypotheses?

My early custom moses 128 creaked as well, it really sounded like it was about to break up, it was the number 3 board off the line at newind, so very very early and very thin, they made them much thicker later on in production, they did not creak at all, I had number 56 which was very quiet
but the number 3 board is still going strong as my heavyweight sailing buddy can confirm,I sold it to him.
which is better than the first generation groove skate that he bought off me, that delaminated and creased from the underside whilst on holiday, he got it repaired but it tried to snap in two across a fold line in front of the mast tracks, again on the underside of the board,
He then decided to strip the boards base off and do the job himself, it has worked this time and he is back to giving it some heavy use.
but this creaking issue never happened to the groove skate,
I am on my 4th skate now, but will stick with the much stronger naked carbon 130 L as it is way thicker than the smaller skates, more volume and stronger, well its not complaining yet, and its jumping a lot, and landing on big wings, so things must have moved on in construction.

Hi I get the same creaking noise from the first ride on my 130 skate. Screws are tight. I have a ketos foil which normaly attaches with one screw to the board through a kf box. I thought it may have to do with the plate adapter I use to attach the foil to the skate board. Another possibility for the noise: sand between the adapter and the board. Maybe I should clean the plate the next time and see what happens. Don’t think it is a problem of the board. Just my thoughts

On your ketos mount plate do you use a thin rubber gasket or anything?

So funny you should mention this, because I ride a 2020 Slingshot dwarf craft micro, and since day one I've heard strange noises, creaks! And I thought it was just in my head! So my board creaks as well!!! Interesting...

Got the board this summer. Had about 1.5 months of steady use.

When I had this sound it was due to foil nut mounted tight enough, either wings to fuselage or fuselage to mast bolts allowing some movement under load
