Lift 200 for kiting

Anyone using this wing for kiting? If so, what conditions do you like it for and what board are you using? Thanks

I am interested as well.

I originally tried the Classic 150 but now own the Classic 170 wtih the 32" mast. I have been wondering if the Glide 200 might be the next step. Larger surface area for lift but a lower chord depth so top speed is not completely limited.

My board is a Gott Glassing skim/foil board. Nice size for low swing weight yet enough volume to get going in the light...

Lift 200 is about same area wing as Moses 633. People use large wings for waves and lowend riding or if they weigh a lot.

So if you're going to ride slow, without outrunning waves or ride in 7 knots wind, or if you weigh 220 lbs - that wing would work great.
But then I wouldn't opt for Lift as brand, unless you get it at very low cost.

As of mast length - I rode 633 on 71/91/105cm masts and all worked great - short mast for shallows, long for deep water

I use a 200 to supplement my 130(?). No complaints. A different ride from my smaller wing... something to switch up the riding a bit.

I used Lift's 90, 110, 130, 150, 170 and 200 extensively. Of those I returned the 90 and 200 after about 10 sessions. All the other ones are IMO the best freestyle/wave foils out right now. Easily better than Moses 633. More fun, more carvy and more durable.

200 is unusable for kiting - too much front lift. It's meant for SUP wave foiling. You can ride it, but you can do a lot better for the kite. Instead, use the new surf series 170 with 50 stabilizer. It will be slower on the wave and has more low end - better for kite foiling waves over 5ft. The 90 was Lift's attempt at a race foil w/o race foil background - it wasn't balanced and wasn't very fast. I had the exact same questions on the 200 and 250 and doing the latter. For surf series, anything above 170 is also not meant for kiting.

Ive owned the 170 fish..saw a friend snap off the rear wing first day ... I sold it right away....broke two 200 wings within a month of kiting on them....got an email directly from nick..."200 wing is not designed for kiting"...no warranty on the second one if you kite on it....I did unfortunately....im out $900 bucks ....they simply do not hold up under the presures put on them by kiting....stress cracks horizontaly down the fuselage from front and rear wing and cracks perpendicular from mast cavity to front wing.....never did i hit bottom.....do yourself a favor and stay away from this fragile garbage...buy an armstrong or mfc...much better quality

The Lift 150 "fragile garbage" has lasted me over 400 sessions with over 20,000 boosts, freestyle tricks, waves and many beach landings. Still going strong. Moses foils I had broke or chipped with minimal sand or beach contact. Lift ain't no fragile garbage. But I will agree, per above - Lift 200 is not made for kiting and MFC/Armstrong are good quality. Armstrong is not nearly as skatey (loose) as Lift, so no go for me there. Very curious about the MFC foils.

On its side, does the 200 sink, float forever or float for a while and then eventually sink? Thanks
