About that, what sizes of which kites did you try and what size of the synergy? What is the weight of the synergy? Bar throw? Gutless turns or some power? Fast across window or just fast to pivot? AR? Etc.....
8sqm, package is very small and light, less than 2.1kg for 8sqm, fast to pivot, you can turn it like an Handspinner during foiling, like heliloop with ram air kite.

I tested some of this kite, clearly the best Is the PLKB SYNERGY ! So much fun in the turn, it turn so quickly and have a crazy stability, so fun for tack, jibe, carving.
to say brand/model XYZ is the best, and turns quickly, etc, tells us little. if you tested a 12M and it turned quickly, it may be interesting (though many have told me their 17M's turn quickly, and we all know that's a joke). if you tested a 10M or less, well, they all turn/fly pretty well. every brand/model i've ever tried is acceptable at 10M or below, and pretty much horrible at 12M or bigger. of course, most of us need a 12M unless we want to watch most days.

He would probably fly better if he dropped a few kgs .

The New Duotone Mono is much different than last years and much better.......

But when talking about "one strut or No strut " kites, you have to remember it's all a compromise. Kites with a good top-end do so at the expense of a bottom end. Single strut kites are meant to be good low wind kites, the better they are at that the worse they are at the top-end. You have to choose which is more important based on the wind conditions you're kiteing in. Steady light wind....... single strut kites are terrific. Very up-and down wind.......not so much.

Yes much better .Be interesting to see the new LF Solo, had v2/v3 ,really well made but to grunty (for my liking) new iteration should be good as I am sure LF have taken comments on board. And then there is the 'Ghost'

All this competition can only be good for customers

Just get the Airush Ultra, it's a superb kite.

Don't worry about relaunch, if it falls out of the sky then it is physically impossible to relaunch a kite.
i've flown my 9m probably 100 sessions including lots of super-marginal foil sessions and dropped it maybe twice. It just doesn't fall out of the sky.

If you are a beginner and crash your kite then maybe the Alpha is better for relaunch but I haven't flown it or even seen it and that's just guessing from this thread. The old solo sucks, the mono also sucks (no offense north fans but it doesn't compare), not sure about Naish
