Lifted off board mid tack

When I’m riding my 11m Diablo in high wind and going fast I sometimes have to slow down so I don’t get lofted off my strapless board when I tack and kite passes overhead, even sheeted out and cranking the bar. Any way to avoid this or am I just too overpowered? How do racers do it? Is it a matter of managing the angles and arc of my carve upwind maybe? Would shorter lines than 20m help?

Most likely you can't sheet out enough in gusty conditions. Racers use bars with a very long depower throw (something like 70-80cm) and a super short quick release system to take advantage of the long throw.
And shorter lines (like 12m) help because (assuming you're trying to get the kite to 12 o'clock in the same time on short or long lines) the kite is flying a smaller circle with short lines and therefore not flying so fast which produces less lift.
