Liquid Force Orb inputs

Postby gigibianchi » Sun Dec 01, 2019 11:28 pm

Would like to read you inputs about this new board from LF

1. How much does it weight (LF do not mention this detail)?
2. Could it be a good match with the Impulse wings?
3. Do you use it with a strap or without?
4. If you use it with a strap\ half strap and the impulse, how much pressure do you need to exercise with your front foot in comparison to your previous board (considering that you used the impulse also with that one)?
5. How is the build quality (considering that LF have issues with some of their gear)?

Waiting enthusiastically for your answers ;)

Wish it had a leash insert to use as a foil leash.

But you got footstrap inserts, so you can use these, no matter if you ride strapless or with straps :thumb:

Sorry, can not help you, no I dont...

Was answering galewarning that it is easy to use a footstrap insert for the leash, doesnt matter if you ride strapless or strapped.

Hardly never ride with straps myself, and definitely never a leash.

As hardly anyone use a leash, very few, there is no reason to use money and weight on this insert, eventhough very small yes.

So use an insert for the leash, the furthest rear one, and you'll be fine :thumb:

Board outline looks good, short, wide and a tad of volume I believe, so not much swing weight but great in super light winds too :naughty:

But havent seen or tried one, sorry...

I can weigh it once I get home.

Yes it will be a good match with an impulse wing.

We have ours setup with one foot hook up front. no issues with front foot pressure since back foot has free placement anywhere.

build quality is really nice. it's a different factory than the Galaxy boards. I can post photos later

however, the inserts are actually imperial instead of metric, not sure how they missed that at the factory.

Better late than never right?

The orb I have is 3068 grams, or 6 lbs 12 oz

For comparison, my Galaxy 4'8" is 3330 grams, or 7 lbs 5 oz
