Tom, could you post a few close up pics of where and how much you sanded? Thanks

I was out again to test it yesterday and went from powered on 9m kite to overpowered as wind increased. I had both flat water and small wind swell. The wing behaves really well. I've gotten used to sinking foil, my starts are better now, and agree it's a lot more convenient to have it lay flat and come downwind.

Hello guys,
I received the wing last Monday and I tried it three days.
I use the normal surf wing and it looks faster and above all more PRO,
for newbies it is not recommended
If any of you want to try it I will put it on sale (currently there is no stock)
regards

I noticed gong now do a modified version of these wings https://www.gong-galaxy.com/en/product/ ... pro-clear/
One of the things they say is “ With this new range, we have added a hole to add a screw on top of the fuselage. The gain in rigidity is enormous. Nothing moves, twists or vibrates. It’s absolutely perfect.”

It sounds like one of the contributing factors to the vibration issues some people are experiencing is the rigidity of the font wing connection? Maybe it is possible to add a bit of packing or it may even be possible to drill an additional hole as in the new version?

Thanks for the posts TomW. Bought the MPro in October but haven't had the chance to use it yet. I got the 93 cm mast as well as the 65cm. I wish I had ordered the 80cm at the same time, as it is very inexpensive, but shipping to NA is expensive. One thing I notice (& others have commented on) is that the fuselage/front wing connection is not tight. This is presumably to ensure that the wing does not get stuck on the fuselage. Do you find the foil "wobbly" at all?

Saw this post after I posted! The wing (original) has screws that just fasten the wing to the fuselage on one side. It seems to me that a longer screw that screwed all the way through the fuselage & through to a thread on the other side would be the best way to increase the rigidity of the connection. From what you are describing they have elected to countersink into the top of the wing & add a screw there. Presumably this could be retro-fitted?

One other thing: the screws that come with the foil seem to be relatively small/short. I wonder if this isn't a potential issue with the mast/top plate & mast/ fuselage connection?

I can't detect any play or wobble. But I do see advantage of additional screw. Otherwise, it's pretty easy to spray some paint on the fuselage and tighten it up if needed.
