I want to learn 180 upwind transition (to toe side) now after I mastered the 360 upwind transition with kiteloop.
Any tips on how to convert my 360 to 180?
What are the differences?
What should I start with? Kiteloop? Downloop? Down stroke?
I didn't find a good instructional 180 video except for one that does it with kiteloop, heading downwind and only then to toeside, this I can already do but that's more of a 360 followed by transition to toeside.
Just do it. Once I cracked the 360, the tack to toeside came easy enough. Medium powered, flattish water...
Biggest thing is “standing up” in what would be the middle of a 360 — instead of continuing to drive the board around back to the original election, drive it just past upwind then let your body’s momentum carry your back on top of the board... and done the kite as you do so.
Well that’s what it feels like to me

So what do you suggest starting with? Downloop? Kiteloop? (guess not, wrong direction) or just a down stroke?

The upwind 360 with kiteloop is the ideal transition to learn before mastering the 180 upwind to toe side. Getting into the 180, speed should be the same as for a 360, doesn't have to be super fast but with good power in the kite. The main differences are that as you start carving you have to stay more centered over your board than for a 360 and most important re-direct your kite aggressively just before you get into the toe side tack.

If i do it with a loop, I end up going downwind a lot more. Unless the wind is really light...
It's easier to do with a downloop, then once you've figured that out, do it without, but you'll feel underpowered coming out of the turn and and have a tendency to fall off foil, but practice and you'll get it.
