my first ever foil regatta

Postby super_padge » Sat Mar 07, 2020 1:22 am

Hi!
I've recently written a little article on how I entered my very first foil race - I later realised it was actually a full on regatta over 3 days!

My main aim was just to get round and see how a course was, but I'd encourage anyone to give it a try - it was loads of fun and I really enjoyed it! I'm never going to make the HFPT but it was fun to have a race with friends!

I had an Axis freeride foil, with a 600 front wing, and Core XR6 & Nexus kites.

I'd love to do this. I have a background in racing sailboats, and so know the rules and tactics in general, but I don't have good race series to enter. I'd love the equivalent of a "beercan" race to do, I don't want to be racing against top international pros on my first day out.
