this is great. I am thinking same. We desperately need travel bags 100cm / 120cm in length . But one thing I also want is wheels. Yours seem does not have them. Rolling it would be great.. And second option , I want it to be worn as "back pack" instead of over the shoulder strap.
Look at Nobile’s bags. They have a 90cm and 120cm.

I like this bag but what about the wasted space under the rocker of the board, could easily fit a wetsuit or even a smaller peak. The DC doesn’t have as much rocker as a Groove though. For 400 bucks you could get a couple Nobile travel bags though and they look to give you more protection. Impressive though. I’d maybe buy one for 300 but I’d have to see how it help up to the baggage throwers first.
I don't really get your point on the "wasted space" thing? If I stuffed a wetsuit under the nose of the bag, would that make it seem more useful to you? For sure I could stuff a wetsuit in it no problem. Or are you saying you'd rather have the bottom of the board cut in a curve to match the rocker of your board? If you're getting a custom bag built you could totally do that, I'm just not sure how beneficial it would be.

I can't find the Nobile bag you're talking about on their website. Can you post a link?
When I pack I always put something on the bottom of the bag before the board. Helps eliminate empty space and gives the board a little more protection from the throwers. I’ll be following how long it lasts.

The 90cm Nobile “Check In Bag” is 90cm x 48cm x 20cm, is 169 Euros, 2.35kg, has wheels(not very useful on this one though) and is EXTREMELY durable. I had my completely stuffed on the back of my motorcycle on a 16000km trip through north and South America. It had constant abuse and is still going strong today.

Nobile’s “Splitboard Master Roller” is bigger at 110cm x 45cm x 15cm and is 139 euros. I was able to fit my Groove Skate S in there no problem with numerous kites and misc. it has wheels that work much better but I had one seize up on me fairly early and tried to warranty it and they refused. Still has been a great bag and I plan on building new wheels for it. Pretty light at 2.55 kg. Again extremely durable and other than the wheel problem it’s been great.

What’s kinda nice is they both have a little bit of a structure so you don’t have to worry about being crushed as much. There’s also a front pouch but imo it’s pretty useless.

The nice thing about custom is you can get whatever you want. Getting backpack straps I'm sure would be easy. I'm not sure about sourcing the hardware for the wheels.
I sourced a used snowboard bag with wheels an converted is into surfboard bag.
No sewing machine? ask a local tailor/sailmaker to convert it..

I know nobody can travel right now, so the timing for this isn't great, but I commissioned a custom bag built for the traveling foiler who doesn't need a twintip or surfboard length bag ...
Bag looks great. Can you share the details of who did this, I'd be interested.
