Any Cquad foiling?

I started my first ever rund on the water with a cQuad more than 20 years ago and now would wonder if I would consider foiling with them. Anyone gave that though a try lately? Now that upwind is not the issue anymore at all. G

I saw a well used Flexi Blade 3 on hydrofoil last weekend.

Amazing power kite it was, with handles and proper harness and handle set up, rollar, on buggy, up wind unbeatable.
But know water relaunch does not exist, using 4 line curved "handle bar style" bar would allow some AOA adjust but at least to me never felt as good as with handles.
At the time I flew 10.5, 8.4, 6.3, 4.2 M2, if memory serves, did kite board with for test handles seat belt back strap worked but to foil with,
getting stable at zenith for water start....
As you noted upwind on a foil is so good no need for upwind kite performance edge as LEI or even better RAMAIRS work well.

I toyed with idea to bridal my 10.5 to allow normal 4 line depower set up but never got around to it, also HUGE issue to pack 10.5 to transport...unless break down LE made...

Can you fly the c-quad one-handed on handles? Pretty much all of he 4 line foils i owned way back were pretty hard to control with handles.

I still think about trying it sometimes though.

You can fly a C-quad one handed if you are hooked into a harness line run between the left and right handles. The harness line is attached to the back of the leader which goes to the main bridle flying lines at the top of the handle. I also run a line between the breaks for a leash.

PS Handles and fixed bridle give very precise and responsive control with a decent kite, except of course for AoA !

I still have a dakine hook with a pulley on it. "Reactor bar" or something like that...

Come to think of it, one-handed control was easy with low power, like for kite-skiing or bugging...

Back in 2001/2 at Ainsdale beach uk there was one guy who used a Cquad for kitesurfing for well over a year it was one tricky beast to use, two things that made it very scary,
the kite is in full power from the moment you hot launch it, and on launch, using 40mtr lines, it rockets you down the beach digging the longest twin foot ploughing lines any farmer would be proud of,
and as mentioned before not a chance of any relaunch from the water, none at all.
At the end of year kitesurfing club party, he was awarded a special prize which got everyone on their feet clapping him,
he did not inspire any one else to ever try a Cquad,
