Day 2 = 2 thumbs up
Replaces my need for 633/surf fuse.
I attempted to mount the 483 on the kite fuse for similar comparison, no go.
Wasn't able to push it for top end with the given conditions. Seemed quite happy in the low-upper teens. Much easier to jump vs 633. Way easier to tack vs 590.
Surprisingly able to go fairly slow & easily pumpable drifting the kite downwind.
I tried the 720 last year & simply didn't care for it.

I really like my 720 and 420 stabiliser setup. Feels faster than the 679 and 420 and can carve harder. Low end is great considering size. Glides really well also.

What are the key differences between the 720 vs 800?

Which one gets going first? Which one has fastest top speed?

I thoroughly enjoyed the relatively short time I had w/ the w800, sigh
I rode my old 633 for a short time just after the loss, felt like a shovel in comparison.
800 easily capable of 25+ w/o pushing, really fun carving/pumping - thinness at tips appear prone to damage

I have a few speed facts from accurate gps reports and user reports of the same speed results as their top recorded speeds,

633 with (483) - 26.3knts -- feels very fast as its becomes very sensitive at this speed and even more so if the water is turbulent, too much under water movement reduces the speed as control is compromised, top speed upwind is not as exciting but still very good.

682 or now called the 679 with 483 stab --- 27.3 knts, but feels faster as control is better, so much so that average speed tracks over a session are much higher, so longer distances are more often covered over similar times out on the water, only reported downsides is slow speed stability and higher stall speed with compromised stall recovery and white foam capability is reduced compared to the 633 which is fine through white foam topped water

720 with 425 stab, (other stabs - the 483 and 450 don't work as well, and the older longer surf fuse works slightly better than 701fuse and allows same mast placement as 633,
top speeds recorded are up to 31knts with some near 32knts, lift is high but not as much as the 633, stall speed feels similar to the old 682, however the wing is near impossible to get it to crash out of a very fast (high G force) hard deep carve, grip is awesome, turning radius is slightly bigger than 633 but way more fun as the speed you can carry into a hard turn makes you grin and shout yeehar, such a great carving machine, even in choppy turbulent water, top speed upwind feels very fast and smooth and very high, even if using a lower aspect kite like the hyperlink, running downwind very fast is an eye opener on the 720, so smooth, stable and fast , my favourite kite for using with the 720 is either the larger 11mtr chrono v3 ul on shorter lines or the more playful smaller 9mtr hyperlink v2 on longer lines, the smaller v2 hyperlink suits the 720s ability to carve hard and fast and pushes it harder and faster with a more gentle power surge to keep it locked deep, you must get a try on this combination to experience this, i did try the 483 and 450 rear stabs with the 720 wing and it was not right, in fact i sold my first 720 wing as i thought it was too hard to use for any fun, but on the right stab and fuse transforms it. O! I forgot to mention, boosting on the 720 is better, much better as you can load up faster and harder before lift off.
I would love to compare it with the w800
