Gunards opinion on the 1000 “pretty much the same lowend as the 790” (for winging)
I am trying to understand what would be the best to kite with the peak4 8m (ideally 5m) when it can still fly but I cant get up on foil (with 633 and 483).
1000, 790 or other?
I have the 800 but it stalls at a higher speed than the 633 and that makes the 633 much easier (for me) to jibe in low winds. Maybe I just need more skill to take the 800 to a lower stall speed, but still it is more dificult.
790 is for SURE one peak size down vs 633. 5m peak is now my low end kite at 86 kg. 10 knots and Im up on 90 cm board. Ok maybe you need to wait for 11 knt gust but you definately can continue on 8 knts lull.
1100 is no go for me. never tried 1000

I tried ktiting with W1100 and it was much better than i initially thought. Stable and a little hard to turn but not bad at all, great lowend. The S482 Stab was good, the S325 too pitchy....

I think its a bit much to expect the 1000 to completely replace the 1100.
I expect my 873 to get dusty and maybe 790 and 683.

Just had a short session and yes it whistles.
Kitefoil in light wind 10m kite about 10kn wind, W1000 has way to much lift even with mast all the way back. I could not consistently control it. A challenge to jybe so atm I like my 683 more for kite foiling then the 790.
Windwing absolutely excellent, it would be very close to the 1100 to get up on the foil and is consistently faster. Wind at this point was 10 to 12 kn then 5kn.
More time on the water will be even more helpful to adjust and get rid of the whistle. I am 75kg.
