Comfy Booty Soles for Summer Foiling?

Postby NYKiter » Sat Jun 13, 2020 2:22 am

Question for those foilers approaching the onset of senescence.....

Now that Im getting away from the 7mm booties with thick soles over the winter, Im looking for a stream-lined 1mm booty with a thicker sole...

Grinding up wind starts to hurt the dogs after a few hours....any recommendations?

Assume "onset of senescence" is slang for getting older?

But how is this related to shoes and upwind, and what exactly hurts?

Footstraps?

Hard race deck with too little padding?

I use the thinnest booties from decathlon. Cheap and does the trick of providing a little protection against hard hits from my foil.

Have been in full on shoes for a couple seasons now and for where I ride, there is no going back. Rocky nasty entries or exits are a piece of cake with a precious foil in hand and kite in the air.

Definitely work best with a flat hard deck strapless pocket board.

Comfy feet all day, throw on some neoprene socks in the cold.

These are designed for water use. non absorbent materials, quick dry and multiple drains through the sole.
