anybody ELSE who has ever had a "loose inserts" situation on ANY kiteboard and what has been your solution? thanx in advance!

I had it, replaced the board, covered by warranty

The inserts failed and you can see it's only secured from the topskin. The styrofoam underneath is not structural at all.

Brought it to the local surfboard repair shop and $35 later here's what it looks like.

omg TAILGUY thank you SOOOO MUCH for posting those pics! pretty much what I imagined.. and now will be that much easier to get our local repair guy tu give me a decent quote!!

that's TERRIBLE that liquid force just drops threaded inserts into foam like that!

I really like all other aspects of the board (except that the foil box is too fast forward to ride my surfy fouls) but that is just plain shoddy construction. how could they EVER expect those inserts to last more than one day?

So here's the thousand dollar question... any idea how you're shaper "routed out" that insert area without ripping up the entire deck pad? how the hell did he so cleanly cut out the top laminate to be able to reglass the inserts? did he end up putting the inserts into a high density foam block before reglassing?

looks like a killer job for 35 bucks man!

Simply shit such a well known board company would install inserts like that! :angryfire:
