i wear a dakine fusion seat harness,,,had it since the dark ages, i wear it cause it is easier on my back but as i am going heelside to toeside on the foil,, i feel like it keeps me from completing my gibe and cruise away on my toeside. im going to throw my old dyno v bar sliding bar thing on it but how many folks wear a seat harness? any similiar issues? also,, opinions on most comfiest waist harness for foiling. thanks,

Yes any rope slider spreader bar solves your problem.
Ion and Mystic both make good ones that fit on Dakine harnesses.
Many of us wear a seat harness..I prefer the Dakine board shorts variety. Virtually all racers do because the lower pull point works better.

ion seat harness and fit the ion rope slider spreader bar, double rope eyes so reasuringing double safe, but remove the bulky foam packing from the spreader bar for ultimate freedom of movement,
this week I have just started jumping with transition heelside to toeside in the air, and landing on the new side which really twists the torso to extreme angles and the ion set up allows me to get this new move to a stage that maybe a lesser harness system would limit, very happy with it, why use the old hook harness when foiling? go rope, double rope for peace of mind.

hook leverage impedes toeside. Hooks should be banned!

i wear a seat harness and hate the slider. you lose tension on lines as you turn with a slider. that delay in feedback was annoying to me, but i suppose most get used to it. anyway, i have no problem using seat harness and fixed hook while foiling, and it has no effect on gibes. but i never liked the Fusion, too large and cumbersome. I use a Dakine Vega.

The hook leverage is problem. If you ride toeside you hips should be above board. Whole power of kite try to turn you hips via hook which act as a lever for this power - this will lead to bad body position and fatique.
Simple as that. If you make simple non moving connection to centre of spreader bar /without hook leverage/ you solve 90 % of issue without any delay. Still slider is even better, but to get good feeling from slider it must be just right. Attachment point distance and slider slack. Usualy the tighter the better. What you are experiencing is wrongly set slider. Riding toeside with hook is always wrong. If you have not problem with it you just dont know about it.
Thats why sliders was made - for people who ride toeside longer than briefly.
