That's just my experience, but you Janus at actually water kiting at "pond" have better experience and if you prefer Peak - that is good tip for me too with drift-launch-grain-of-salt, I've Peak4 and use it on mountain twirly icy winds and they can cope everything I've put my Peak against.
Well even the Peak4 had some issues on my pond.. it can collaps and drop..

Not that big pond indeed. Are those bushes or trees on west edge?

both.. but it was "cleaned" almost 2 years ago, old Google earth photo.
There are more houses (windobstructions) now. So now and then my son does some kiting with the Soul 12 with TT or Skim.
Best wind is SW-WSW 8-15 kts.. rare....
