Good point, I hadn't thought about that. I'm a mid-fleet racer and I've been lapped by Nico Parlier on a twice around course, so he would definitely do a better job of racing the AC boats
Why do you think the AC75 would have more of an advantage in light wind? I thought it would be the other way around. Since kiters can choose a huge kite (now 23m and 25m), the wind speed doesn't have much of an effect on speed upwind or downwind. The angles get better as the wind increases, but the speeds are about the same.
Looks like there was some disagreement over what the upper limit wind speed would be, but they decided on 23 knots. 6.5 knots for the low end. https://www.sail-world.com/news/226506/ ... s-resolved
