It's the same as on a twintip. Keep the kite low, head either upwind or downwind. You were on a broad reach which is the fastest tack. I'll touch down to scrub speed when i'm headed to the beach. As for bailing, we all bail but not to scrub speed it's for when you are finishing your session. When you are headed to the beach and you jump off the hydrofoil who doesn't sometimes land so awkwardly you hope nobody is looking. The hydrofoil will go where it's pointed so just don't jump that way. I guess maybe there are foilers who are way more graceful than me and step off like they are walking into a dinner party but not me.
