Compared to these kind of boards is there any downside about pocket pointed boards like onofoil and others low volume dedicated to foil surfing?
I guess the scoop may help on touch downs but is there any other difference compared to dedicated kitefoil boards?

Both the Groove Skate and Wave are also dedicated kitefoil boards. An advantage is in lighter winds when you touch down you still have some flotation compared to a low volume board. Also I can sit on my super small Wave and still float which is nice.

Indeed the volume makes huge difference in lighter winds but my question was more toward the pointed nose with no rocker compared to a more rounded scoop nose.
I guess it helps to avoid crashing at touchdowns but besides that I see no advantages on having a pocket with rocker and round nose compared to a flat top board with a pointed nose.

Ah well I prefer foiling in bigger waves and the nose greatly helps get past the break time to time.
