Is Onda just a branding thing?

Postby apollo4000 » Tue Sep 01, 2020 6:58 pm

....is an Onda W633 same as Kit 72 W633? Same S483? Just branding for a previous season?

I don’t want to dismiss Onda if it’s a thing in its own right. Apologies If already raised and answered.

I can't speak with any authority, but Moses seems to have selected components (which they list out exactly what is included) then slap a cool name onto the group.

Onda is the group that contains the 633/483. Means little more as far as I can tell.

With Moses I just stick by the numbers...

Onda (wave in Italian) is given to all the surf orientated foils from Moses which fit on the 710 (Surf) Fuselage.

Moses is an Italian brand. Onda is the Italian word for wave. All of the bigger wings fall into the "Onda" category.

All 633 wings are the same (except the very early ones which are heavier and don’t float)

In the past lots of riders followed the setup names Moses used but lately majority or riders are riding mix-and-match builds and names mean nothing anymore.

You pick up mast(s) for your riding style and water depth, you pick the wing(s) to match your weight and speeds you’re looking to ride at, fuselage usually is a function of wing choice and stabilizer/shim are light final touch in the set allowing you to fine tune riding characteristics

I think Onda means that it is Moses 633 wing. Not mast or stabs.
