True, wouldn't it be better to get a short one for surf, and a long one for wing and kite?

Instead of a compromise?

Of course it would be nice, but then the compromise is having cheaper setup, probably aluminum. I had aluminum in the past, I’m too lazy to take apart and clean. I would get at most 10% of the time in waves, so I’ll just stick with a longer mast and if it doesn’t work for the rare times I could surf foil, no big loss.
