Rode 250HA/25 today. Compared to 240HA/40 session yesterday it needed more back foot pressure and it was less stable in the wave. Had fun but will ride 40 for time being

Theoretically what would be difference between 250 HA and 250 Surf, given the same rear wing (50 as recommended by my friend at Lift) for cruising and having fun?

Fantastic day today - had my younger daughter and my elder daughter's boyfriend out for an awesome efoil session, first time for both of them. Taking turns on the Lift 5'6" and 250 Surf/50 Stab they were both doing short foiling runs sitting on their knees and both were able to stand up and ride on the water's surface by the end.
Great way to share the floaty feeling of foiling with non-kiters, and have a blast on the no-wind days !

Could you elaborate more on the "feel" of the 250 HA vs 250 Surf? I'm less concerned about battery life but rather will the 250HA offer more fun, turny, speed etc. Is the 250 Surf the better choice for supreme stability at the expense of the "dynamic" nature of a HA foil? THX...

I will ride 250 surf and 250HA back to back later but usually lower aspect wings end up having slightly lower end and more front foot pressure and are less roll stable.
Yet at 250 sq.in area all of these become negligible differences. The surf one will shed seaweed better in OBX because of more arrowhead leading edge shape
Will report once I ride both back to back. If I had to pick one - I’d pick 250HA just as I ended up riding HA kitefoil wings

Yes Grigorib, good point about weeds. Please report back when you get to compare the two foils... THX!

I have tried most of the eFoils which you can find in my overview at
https://e-surfer.com/en/comparison/efoil/. And If I did not ride it I could at least check it out at a trade show or the manufacturers site.
I owned a Fliteboard before I switched to Lift. I would say both Fliteboard and Lift Foils eFoil are fantastic boards. The Fliteboard is the better consumer electronic device with a lot of features, but in my opinion the Lift Foils eFoil is the better water sports device. It is more robust and gives you ways more choice in accessories such like wings and things like the folding propeller. I would suggest that you try them. If you are around in Berlin come by and visit me for a test ride. Here is a picture of me riding the eFoil in Berlin:
I would stay away for cheaper offers for the time being. If you look into the Waydoo Facebook group you will see a lot disappointed customers. It is not just Waydoo there is similar feedback from other here named brands as well. There is a reason for the price. It is easy to build a DIY eFoil for 5k EUR or less, but to develop a mass production product which is reliable is a completely different story.
Over time the eFoils will get cheaper, but in the short term I don't see this happen.

I think Waydoo and Takuma are selling like mad right now and correcting imperfections as they grow. Hopefully prices will land to 5-8k for base models soon even for Lift.
