Thanks. If the 1-Strut 4m slots nicely between the 3m & 5m 3-Strut, then I’d guess the 1 and 3 strut kites are similar in range. Or maybe this is just the case for the small Evo and Ghost.
The 4m one strut ghost slots between the 5 and 3m: no strut ufo.

Are there any experiences with the duotone mono in 3.5m? lowend, highend? There's some good deals on the Mono 2019.

After 2 days last week with the 3.5 Boxer in 20 - 25 knots, went out today in 25 - 30 knots. Doable in 30 knots, but not really fun for playing in the swell. Not so much overpowered, but the kite's just too fast & twitchy in those winds. As soon as the wind dropped a couple of knots it was easier to ride the swell. I was using 20m lines - it would be interesting to see how different it would feel with shorter lines.

maybe it is not the smartest thing to do..(and i'm not recommending)
...but i actually go opposite...i just use long (~30m) "normal" thickness lines (ie not the lightweight race lines/bar i usually use with peak4s and spirit kites)

my problem with tiny kites on short lines.. is in higher winds the waves get significantly bigger(wave crest and trough difference amplified) and sometimes i simply forget to keep kite up high (which means kites gets eaten by the wave monster)

the simply remedy for me..
..just use longer lines..
so even if i have brain farts and hold a kite @4 o'clock while playing on waves.. is ok.
the kite will be higher 30m away..than it would be at 10-12m away....so..a little more room for error.

also, imo, with long think lines... there is friction from lines.. the kites doesnt "seem" like it moves that fast (or maybe u jsut get used to it)

Longer lines will make it take longer for the kite to get to different parts of the wind window, but also give more space for the kite to accelerate.

If you think the kite feels too "twitchy" the obvious practical solution is to use a shorter control bar.

I dont know the Viron, but it seems like it could be an even better kite than the Peaks because of relaunch and same drift?

80 kg and from 10 m/s a 6 will be WAY too big IMO, no matter how little power it has.

A 4 m2 seems like the better choice.

At 78 kg I can not ride my 4 m2 Peak4 above 10 m/s though, thats for sure....
Okay, I can, but survival and not near its sweet spot which is 14-16 knots for me, same type of foilwing as yours.

Regarding line length, I have tried using 15-16 m lines on my 3 m2 Peak4, for quite some time now.
You can still start and ride from maybe 16 knots yes, but even when above 20, carving is crap for me, there is hardly any time to keep the kite pulling and I have to change my whole muscle memory regarding this, and try to carve first and delay the kite, so it pulls all the way around, and still have power on the way to the opposite tack.
Your "working space" gets limited hugely - low end actually close to the same, but overall handling gets really bad IMO.

Maybe it is a matter of riding half a year, and one can get used to it - but I doubt it.
And if so, one also has to change the 4 and 5 and 6 to shorter lines also, as one can not change to a completely different style, whenever you rig one size up or down.

Smaller increments in line lengths might work though.

I have no idea what the Viron is like to use ... but I will say it's a really ugly kite! There was one being used (to teach) on the beach the last few days. It's a weirdly puffy kite - low aspect with deep cells. And the colors! :-? Having said that, I had my Peak4 5m laid out on the beach a few days ago & a kiter walking by asked: "what's that - a tennis net?" :)
