Foil board advice

I really don't feel that what foil board you choose is that critical a decision. I would go with what's easily available to you locally at a decent price. Better if it has a track (unless you go with a very small board) & bootstrap inserts (if you want to use straps) & that it is durable.

Bomb proof. Easy foot positioning when starting. Because of low volume.
Not super light weight. 3kgs.

A mid-size may be more forgiving, until you dial in transitions. I thoroughly enjoyed the red t38 @ 80kg, less the leaking strap inserts. It seemed to pair quite well w/ the 633.

You mention the T22 but not the T35. I have the T35 which is such a sweet little board. Remarkably easy to get going on for a pocket board. Plus of course it has a rail mast mount.

New Slingshot Dwarfcraft 100 is awesome and big enough for 633. I recommended my friend 3’6” Dwarfcraft Micro and he learned from zero on that board with 693s wing under.

I'm in love with my Airush team foil board 121 (3'11") 14.5L
It's Carbon Innegra, bomb proof and super light!
Perfect size, small, but not crazy pocket small.
Still has a bit of volume to help in low end.
comes in at 6.2 lbs, which is lighter than the dwarfcraft 110, and the airush has more volume than the SS 110.
I do have a softspot for Airush, but the team board I can confidently say they really hit the nail on the head with this one, highly recommend it.

Smaller pocket boards are fun in the summertime, but no advantages, only downsides.

Thanks Peter, I really apreciate your advice, can you explain a bit why you dont recomend boards less than 120 cm? I normaly kite 4 days a week at the sea in 10 knots with 12 M foil kite, so I want a nice board

I’ve had the dwarfcraft longer version

Have a dwarfcraft micro

And now I’m riding an axis tray 94

The advantage I see with short light boards is that you steer them instead of the board steering you,

The larger and more volume boards can be easier on the surface.

I have two friends who like to jump and they have longer boards which makes sense because they go fast snd tend to hit the surface more.

I like the tray 94 because it is wide and I noticed I was often hanging off the edge with my rear toes on my dwarfcraft micro. The width snd generous nose scope also make it relatively easy to pop the board onto the surface when it is light.

Slingshot has some new dwarfcraft models this year that look pretty nice.

Frankly all the boards you mentioned are nice.

Interesting, I was the opposite.

I found the Tray 110 to be too narrow for my tastes in the rear -- my toes (shoe size 13) were over the edge, and the front a little wide. The DC 3'6" is about perfect -- just enough room at the rear.

Now I bet someone will measure them and tell me the outline is identical
