chrono v3 11m vs hyperlink 2 11m questions, time on both?

i can't seem to pull up any threads that compare these 2,,, maybe i am not searching right ,, but i have very specific questions for someone who has a lot of time on both

i only have time on the chrono v3 11m, it is my new light wind kite.

will the hyperlink park at zenith,, or a little off zenith like the chrono,, i find it very nice the way i can put it at 11 or 1 and it just follows me with no bar input hardly and with very little pull

is the hyperlink as "powerful" or effective in very light wind? does it generate the same amount of power when say downlooping for a water start

i can only assume the hyperlink is more stable, correct? i find the chrono to be a little sketchy in switchy gusty winds,, like any high aspect type kite, especially foil kites in general, even easy ones like the soul (don't get me wrong, i really like the v3)

how much longer will the hyperlink float on the water than the chrono?

there appears to be a bit of a time limit to relaunch the v3,,, is the hyperlink easier to relaunch?

has anyone successfully, relaunched either kite after releasing to safety, watched it flag out onto the water,, in deep water, ,and get lines sorted out and relaunch? seems unlikely ( i understand this is a common issue with foils,, i am not being negative about this chrono,,, love it,,,just wondering if SOMEONE out there in world can do this consistently) i rarely dump my kite but doubt if i could relaunch it after a full flag out

will the hyperlink have more grunt? clearly, it will not point upwind as well as a high aspect kite, which is no big deal with a foil board.

which will drift better? i have almost gotten the chrono to fall out of the sky a few times by riding towards in a turn,,,i have learned to keep some bar pressure when going straight down wind,, or anywhere really

how does the bar pressure compare? i love the light bar pressure of the chrono

has anyone switched from chrono to hyperlink and would never go back? or vice versa?

my riding style is old dude cruising and trying to glide with wind swell and carve on it

i mean,, i am very, very surprised i love this 11m v3,,,just wondering if the hyperlink is better,, i would defintely not let a beginner start off on a chrono v3

i am on a 1150 front wing foil (north sonar) and a 120 cm dwarfcraft,,, lots of foil kite experience,, i like to optimistically think i am just barely a intermediate foil boarder

Oh I definitely talked with Colin. He is definitely a hyperlink fan. But my Krono 11 m is just so nice I can’t imagine anything being better, I was hoping to find someone who recently had time on both I don’t think Collin has a 11 m hyperlink v2.

I got to say, I’m a huge Flysurfer fan but this Chrono is amazing. errrrrr, Except when the wind is gusty or switchy ,,,,I should say it is amazing in smooth light winds

Yes, I have the V3 Chrono 11mtr ultralight, and love it, and a set of Hyperlinks v2 of 9mtr and smaller, down to 5mtr V1 hyperlink ULight, I have flown the 11 MTR V2 Hyperlink, but only on the beach setting it up for a buddy who was new to foil kites, so can't say that much about it as the wind was too light to go on the water, under 3 mph, but it flew nice in such light air,
I am looking at selling my 11mtr Chrono in favour of a new 11mtr V2 hyperlink, or maybe the new V4 Chrono, but will just sell my 11mtr Chrono and then wait for more details and user feedback from real owners of the other 2 ozone 11mtr foils to see which may suit me more, it's windy season now so my 9 MTR hyperlink V2 will be fine as my big kite for a many more months yet.

As I am 'only' 70 kgs on Onda 633 I think the 9m HL v2 will be big enough as I have improved I have expanded the range.I had the 9m HL v1 in standard and really liked it, recently sold it with intention to upgrade to the v2. As an interim arrangement (covid and switching to different winter venue-waves that can be big/mushy) I bought some Ozone Alphas and Enduros and think they are good for foiling and also surfboard and TT (the latter only the Enduro) so will keep them for that reason.
Will still get a 9m HL v2 as my 'dedicated' flat water hydrofoiling kite as think foil kites out perform LEIs in these specific conditions.

On Chrono 11m: Sounds like you know your stuff on foil kites. I can't address your specific questions directly as I haven't flown Hyperlink on water, only snow. But I have tons of time on Chrono 11 as light wind kite for riding hydrofoil and some definite impressions on Hyperlink vs Chrono performance.
Chrono is an amazing tool, especially in the UL construction. It does everything better than Hyperlink except deal with really gusty over-powered conditions. As you say, that's the nature of a high AR kite.
(I know that some fantastic kiters ride and love the Hyperlink, prefer it to Chrono. We're all different and I don't think I'm "right" in any way!)

Neither of these kites drifts well in the usual sense of slack lines and back-stall floating. But I know what you mean about downwind turns and maybe the Hyperlink handles that situation a bit better? Kite won't get quite as weird being low in the window with no power...?

Never heard of anyone flagging their Chrono in deep water and then re-launching. It's hard enough re-launching anyway, sometimes! I've never flown Hyperlink on water, so I can't speak to its re-launch behavior.

For my money, there's no question at all which kite I would want for light wind hydrofoil use. Light wind is the key term: I want a kite that maximizes the available energy. That's the Chrono.

Just my impressions. It's great that there are different tastes.....
(But it can be frustrating to try to buy a kite to fit one's particular taste and needs. You finally pick out kite, buy it and then fly it and realize "nope"... argh!)

Both are not great for on water relaunch, hyperlink is better. For full flagout in deep water the soul has the best chance out of any foils IMHO, assuming you flag out and wind dies. I flew my buddies 11m HL and have seen him dump the kite and it takes one water in less than 10 minutes, could not tell weather it was user error or just the nature of those foils. If the wind dies you are pretty SOL on both.

If your foil kite is down for 10 minutes or more then you are past the time you are still likely to relaunch successfully,
speed and lack of panic are the 2 elements you need, and a good practiced technique.
In the last 10 weeks out here on Flag beach on fuerterventura I have witnessed this multiple times, on multiple brands of foil kites namley-
fS Soul -12mtr 9mtr and 15mtr
Ozone Hyperlink 2 9mtr
Chrono 19mtr
R1 15mtr
Pansh Aurora 9mtr

All were down too long and had to roll up and swim in,
This did however show the Soul to be the one that was least easy to roll up as it's harder to get the air out,
Basically the idea to roll up and stuff in a bag to swim back in failed big style for all these kites,
But you can roll them up a bit, and the small sizes are better at this of course, then tie up with a harness or long safety leash and drag it behind as you swim in,
The more quickly you do this the better, as the water getting inside will be less,
Practice for this is key for all foil kites, it's never easy.
