OK so it wont be this year, but looking ahead to 2022 (or 23?) we are searching for somewhere to go kite-foiling during the month of February. My wife and I are both competent (intermediate) foilers and happy to travel any distance but looking for somewhere warm and sunny with relatively flat water and moderate winds suitable for relaxed foiling. Certainly not waves or super strong wind locations. In previous years we've enjoyed twin-tip kite holidays in a few places but that was before started foiling and that's really our preferred discipline now. So we'd love to hear your suggestions for a good spots for foiling in February. Thanks!

We did Grand Cayman Islands for a week February 2020. Wish we could go back this year.
Stayed in a condo/townhome community up in West Bay which is very close to Barkers.
My buddy and I kited and our wives were happy with all the other activities.
Kite foiled 5 of 7 days. Great place, a bit pricey but not crazy.
Would love to spend a month there.

Thanks for your help with these ideas. I must say, the Caribbean does sound fantastic.
Other than Grand Cayman, are there any other islands that are particularly good for foiling?

For foiling you can pretty much go anywhere in the Caribbean as the tradewinds are usually enough to ride a foil.

I went to the Grenadines 3 years ago. I did foil in the Tobaggo's and in Frigate on Union Ismland (great spot!)
You can combine with TT and have access to shallow waters.
We found a great wave spot riding upwind from Union to the SW of Palm Island.
I was the only foiler on the boat so you need to make some compromise.
You will have a blast when you'r not kiting.
I think Antigua & BArbuda must be great also, maybe more foil spots

Yeah, I'm looking for the opposite of you, I like foiling and all, but I'd rather have waves, so Barbados is #1 on my list next year for February. In any case, I can echo Grand Cayman, also Turks and Caicos, St. Croix is another spot that is a bit less touristy and very solid winds with open bays.
Pretty much anywhere (other than Barbados) fits the bill in the Caribbean.

check out the weeds (Sargassum) before going as it could ruin your trip...
