Can someone please weigh a 101 Moses mast? I'm interested to compare weight with others.
I have weighed my last last two 101 moses masts,
the latest SAB moses logo one, wood core = 1.978 kg
and the previous 2019 mast, foam core = 1.977 kg

Its worth remembering that the hidden large alloy reinforcement plate inside the base of the moses mast makes this a very strong area,
able to withstand heavy landings from silly height with many moses wings, even the 633 wing which is a great jumping wing, but landing slap flat is cringe worthy at my weight of 95kg,I did have the 790 wing for a while and that was great fun to boost as well.
smaller faster front wings do slice in more softly and feel so smooth, but my 633 is my most used jumping wing for winds under 15knts and over 25knts, I try to use my 718 wing which is only 750 sq cm for the strong wind flat water sessions which helps so much more for super fast take offs and monster jumps,
3 of us at our spot boost huge on moses masts, all of us use the bigger moses surf wings and foil kites for more height in lighter airs, and of course smaller faster wings when conditions are right.
As for broken masts, we have never seen one yet, or met anyone who has, the two mast breakages I have seen photographed were the 2016/17 edition masts, one snapped in the middle section and the other one was fractured around the carbon end where it attaches to the fuse,
not a clean snap, the alloy reinforcement plate prevented that, but rather the carbon corner end was destroyed.
just to note that the newish moses 82cm mast(the stiff carbon thicker mast) is quite poor at hard fast boosting,
under hard sideways pressure(loading up) just before take off the mast gives way, it slips away suddenly, you can pull it back if your quick but the jump is lost,
but for gentle boosting it works ok, just!
but who wants to boost gently?

Evan..Ok so what mast and brand do you use ...and recommend then?
Hard to recommend any foil for jumping, all high performance foils are aimed at racing. Would be nice to see a high performance foil with some added reinforcements so it won't break on you when trashing it around jumping, as jumping is just too much fun to stay glued to the surface only.

We switched last summer to the Levitaz R5, mostly for better racing performance. But it even is keeping in one piece at the guy that broke multiple moses masts in a few months.

Levitaz Bionic could be a good choice, you can see mast to fuselage connection is different and a steel fuse, probably bit heavier but you can assume stronger but I' don't have a PHD in this area..
