The 2021 150 Surf v2 has more lift, glides better and is even more pitch stable than the 170 classic. I am using the 150 Surf v2 front wing with the 32 Glide tail. The increased glide this new wing has over the 170 Classic is very noticeable. It is faster but can also be ridden at a slower stall speed. I'm still testing the turns but it seems like it is a bit looser and can make a variety of turns from wide to fairly tight. The 150 Surf v2 is another winner from Lift and is probably best for int-advanced riders whereas the 170 Classic is a great option for beginner-intermediate riders. Lightweights may want to look at the 100 Surf v2 since these mid-aspect wings have more lift than the low aspect wings.
I'm replacing my Classic 150 with a new 150 Surf V2. Nick at Lift suggested the 38 Surf rear wing. I'm wondering if I should look at the 32 Glide. I'm 160 lbs and ride strapless on a Kanaha shapes. My ride local Utah lakes Spring and Fall. Summers I spend in the Columbia Gorge. Any feedback on the rear wings would be appreciated.
Hey! Just curious. What do you expect to be the differences between the classic 150 and the surf V2? I'm on the classic 150 at 150 lbs on a 2020 SS micro strapless. And how do you get to talk to those guys at Lift? EVERY time I've called, I get someone that doesn't know much about the products and there is no one around to talk with.
I like the Classic 150 a lot and was going to get another and give my old one to my son. I was bummed to see that Lift had dropped it. I'm hoping the new Surf 150 V2 will be a little faster and looser with similar low end. I haven't had too many problems calling Lift. They steered me to the Surf 150 V2 and 38 surf rear wing. My local dealer knows Nick and got a response on the rear wing choice. I also spoke to TJ at Big Winds. He knows the wings and conditions where I ride. He suggested the 32 glide and thought the 38 Surf was overkill.

For comparison purposes. Would any Lift riders know what the tail size is on the 170 Classic?

Was hoping someone would answer that. I think its pretty big. Last season the surf tail sizes were 34 40 50. I don't really know, but have the 170 and think the tail is likely the 50.

I was told by Lift that the 170 classic tail is closest to the 50.

I have both; the tail on the 170 classic and the 50 surf from last year appear to be identical.

Can any more peeps weigh in on 150 Classic for kite foiling vs. the new 150 Surf V2 or HA? I absolutely L O V E the 150 and bummed to see it go.

If you have one, your all good!
Lift don’t seem to have much kite focus in their ethos.
Going higher aspect might not be a great move for us. They are finding efficiency for glide, pump, battery life etc.
Thin profile is great, but the wing spans are getting bigger than ideal for hiking over with a kite

I am also a big fan of the 150 Classic and just recieved a 150 Surf V2. I have one session with up and down wind. When I was well powered I liked the speed, glide and turning. When the wind dropped I had a hard time water starting. It has a lot of lift and was bucking me around a bit. The same thing happened coming out of turns underpowered. Seems like It behaves differently to the Classic 150 at stall speeds and takes a little getting used to getting it moving forward.

SO more front wing/front foot pressure when starting and when stalling?

Yes more front foot to get moving when under powered. Once your planing it feels more like the Classic wings. I am curious to see how it performs at higher wind speeds
