For the Guardian I simply replaced the stock sheeting rope that gives you 17/18" of throw with my own. I use 1/8th blue spectra with a locking brummell on each end. I bury a very long tail so that most of the rope is doubled within itself. Very durable. You lose about 20% of your length on the bury. I find that an 8' piece gives me 26" of throw. If it's too long I just throw an overhand knot right under the depower handle. I thought I would need to add extensions to rear lines, but found that if I hook the fronts up at the closest know to LE, and rears to farthest knot it's about perfect. I keep bars hooked to my kites, and did four bars this way. The extra throw really complements the UFO. In fact, I'd say its really necessary
if you want to get the full potential out of those kites. You can find youtube tutorials on how to replace your SS depower, splices etc. It's pretty simple.
