I have multiple times. I found it very easy to jump from the 1050 to it. My friend remarked how slow I was able to go and stay on foil. I am 100KG. I use a SS Infinity 99 wing now to kite with and wish i could afford the Armstrong.

i did once, but it wasn't much fun. switched back to the 1200 quickly. just too slow and it doesn't turn well compared to the 1200. nothing against the 2400, it works great for winging.

Thanks for the replies. I’m planning on using it for winging soon. I’ll try it out with the kite first.

Agree.
I have tried several wingfoil wings a bit smaller than the 2400 cm2, with a kite.
It simply feels so wrong, and not as easy as one should believe - it lifts so much that you have to be very very careful, and it does not accelerate either, and turns lousy...
Not a good idea (for me) to try these with a kite, before winging, was my deduction

You can do it, but that's about it. I found it a bit slow even for winging.

I'm a pretty big guy....about 210-220 and I can damn near crawl with the 1200.
I cannot imagine using the 2400 for kiting unless it was for some slow wave riding or similar.
Love the 1200. One of my favorite wings and it's fast if you know how to ride it properly.
What type of foil riding are you doing?
I also just learned to wing foil on the 1600 because all my Armstrong gear wasn't in yet.
Just got in all my wings and will try the 2400 on lighter wind days wing foiling, but that 1600 is pretty fun.
Hope this helps,
Bob

Hey toyletbowl (interesting name by the way).
I currently ride the 1050 with kite and I’m about your wgt. I actually bought the 2400 to introduce my wife and sons to foiling. I’ll start them behind a small boat. I figure it should be like training wheels. Then introduce the wing.
Currently our boat launches are COVID shut down so just toying with the idea of kite play. I’m tempted to try the 2400 with the smallest kite I can keep in the air. Just for fun.
Your input helps, thanks.

Just go try and find out.
For wing it is perfect.
For kite:
Don't take the smallest you can keep in the air.
A common misconception to think bigger kites can hang in less wind - they can't...
Just opposite, the smaller the kite, the easier to keep it flying
So you should instead pick the smallest kite that is still able to lift you out of the water
As this will be the deciding factor.
Peter

Absolutely insane to have your boat launch in lockdown.
