Context: I wing around Sydney airport (harbour, within 5kms) and use the airport's wind sensor to give low/high range. However, what the airport sensors read is completely different to wind on the surface for winging. For kiting it's very accurate, albeit the kite is on 24m lines.

I've tried the 950/483 twice now, both times on sketchy gusty days 19-30knots using a 6m ensis, messy harbour chop up to 1m high, sometimes I struggled to get up on foil, but once up it was great (apart from the ensis backwinding).
Definitely need one in-between 950-1100 as I wouldn't have struggled so much in the lulls to get on foil.
I tried the 790 once, big fat slow wing for winging IMO, better suited to surfing but never tried in the surf, however the 940/945 will be better than the 790 IMO.
I kite with the 800/400 combo and ozone foil kites freestyle, which is amazing, can drift kite and carve harbour chop no issues, with a tiny bit of assistance from the kite
