I just switched from drifters to slingshot UFO and really enjoy them.
I am using a older Cabrinha Fireball bar. I took the fireball doggle off and connect to an o ring which is attached to a slider rope.
The bar has a 3:1 depower which i really like.
I am looking for replacement bar which is not too heavy and might be foil specific (light).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have been using the Kiss foil bar from Kiteboarding.com for two years and I cant say enough about it. Foiling with a normal clunky bar just feels wrong. The kiss bar is well thought out in all aspects, it is a must have for me.

I am quite comfortable with the fact that there is no auto flag out, of course there is a small loop at the V within reach that you can reach up to flag out on a single front line. Rehearse how you would handle an emergency situation and go ride. I use the KISS bar only for foiling (no jumping), There are times when I am on my smallest kite and the conditions warrant that I will revert back to a normal bar, this is the exception. Once you get used to these minimalistic bars you will probably always have one in your quiver. I am not a fan of backline trimming systems, the kiss bar with cam cleat on the front lines for trimming is exactly what I want.

DIY is the only reasonable option if you ask me. Most bars out there are either junk, or overpriced. No thanks
Around $40 buys a 25x21x1000 mm carbon tube that you can make 2 bars out of (say 56 and 44 cm). The biggest issue is the bar hole. My solution is an external “hole”: 3 mm Dyneema, within 6x4mm polyurethane tubing, and held in place by a Brummel lock splice (the only knot, of all that I tried, that does not slip). As shown in the pics, it requires 3 holes that are easy to make. I’ve been using this solution for 1 year and it works well, no complaints.
Everything else is easy to make and requires just some Dyneema rope (3 mm plus 5 or 6 mm) and the lines. Add the QR from Infexion and the safety ring from Kite Attitude.
