Hello dear hydrofoil users,
Has someone already similar issues with your slingshot hydrofoil?
The front wing upper side unglued suddenly without hit anything during a ride. I have used this hydrofoil for the 4th or 5th time during this summer, there wasnt any impact before.
Unfortunately I bought it last year and warranty time is over already and slingshot says they can't do anything.
So I reccomend you once you buy your foil use it ASAP

Is the foil performing better or worse since this modification was made?

That's pretty rough, man.
Chance the fuselage leveraged it open? How about freeze/thaw cycles - maybe it had some water in it from a defect?

We had one space skate wing do the same thing, but ours had a wooden core. Slingshot replaced ours even though it was outside of the warranty period. Ours opened up when I was riding it upwind for a student.

Yeah, that's the Slingshot customer service I know. I've never really seen a verified claim with "the whole story" where Slingshot has told a customer to FO.
But other kite companies..... yeah, they do that all the time, or have done that in the past.
Right now, Slingshot, and recently Core, may be the leaders in customer service.

Contact the dealer and/or Slingshot. Gear breaks and manufacturers are reasonable in means of repairs

I have a Gamma that started to separate on the leading edge, but fortunately I noticed it. I noticed it after about 5-6 rides. I was within the warranty period and Slingshot replaced the wing. They were really easy to deal with. To me it seemed like a known issue with a certain run of foils. Assuming your the first owner they should replace it. If they don't reach out to a consumer group like BBB. It doesn't always help but you're pretty limited at this point. I would site a known manufacturing issue with the product.

I bought the Slingshot Space Skate the summer it was released. While on a trip that November I noticed that the top and bottom of leading edge was just starting to separate. At that time I'd estimate the wing had about 24 sessions on it; never had an impacts. Fortunately it was still rideable the remainder of the trip. I contacted the shop where I bought it, they contacted Slingshot, and I had a replacement very quickly. When I got a new foil set up a couple years ago I sold the Space Skate set up to a friend. He is still using it, not problem. I hope if you contact SS again you get somebody else on the phone who is more pro-active and customer service oriented.

My rear wing did the same thing. SS replaced it.
